TOON DISNEY JETIX GAME
Toon Disney is an all-cartoon network. It is a spin-off of the Disney Channel. Toon Disney plays a variety of shows and movies, but Jetix is a unique action-adventure block. The Jetix programming is perfect for the kid on the go.
The shows on the Jetix block include Yin Yang Yo!, W.I.T.C.H., The Tick, Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, NASCAR Racers, and Power Rangers: Mystic Force. The Disney website has free online games that are themed after many of the Jetix shows.
One Yin Yang Yo!-inspired game is “Training for Woofoogeddon.” The game was created to coincide with a special aired by Toon Disney at the end of the first season. In this game, you must train Yin, Yang and Yo to prepare them for Woofoogeddon. Each character has its own skill that needs to be developed. For example, you have to help Yo levitate by generating energy underneath him. When you train Yang, you have to power up his nun-chaka by catching balls of energy. Yin’s powers are charged by zapping moving targets with just the right amount of energy.
There are other Yin Yang Yo! games on the Jetix site. “Me! Carl! The Evil Cockroach Wizard Game!” is a silly adventure game in which you must help Carl (the evil cockroach wizard!) collect ingredients for a potion of “super enormous hugitude” so that he can carry out his dastardly plans. You have to kick trees to make the potion ingredients fall, and catch them in the potion bag—but only if the ingredients are the right color. In the meantime, you have to jump over or duck beasts that are passing through. Every time you jump, Carl’s potion bag turns into a parachute, so you have to watch your timing. The graphics are simple but charming; Carl is sure to bring a smile to your face!
